Henry VIII first used Hyde Park as a hunting ground for deer from 1536. In 1637 Charles I opened the park to the general public.
During the Great Plague in 1665 many people from London fled to camp on Hyde Park, hoping they would escape the disease.
In Hyde we have Year 6. Being part of Hyde class is the last step in their journey through Sutterton Fourfields. It is the final year in primary education before continuing their journey through secondary school. In Hyde time is spent preparing for the transition into secondary school as well as the end of key stage assessments. Learning is still completed through topics and it is still shared with school and home.
